3 Tips on Uploading Images in WordPress
Uploading images to a post or page is “push button simple” when you use WordPress to make your Business Website.
To Insert an Image: Click on the Upload/Insert icon and browse to the folder where you have the image you want. Select the image, choose how you want the image to display and insert photo. It’s that easy!
There are a few things that you can do to help optimize your website graphics that only take a couple of extra steps.

Tip #1 Use low resolution images.
With most computer monitors a 72 pixels/inch resolution will display as well as one with a higher resolution and load faster. Page-load times are important for search engine rankings and a good user experience.
Tip #2 Use image alt tags.
The alt tag is where you can make a brief description about the image. This is important because search engine spiders can’t see images and so they use the alt tag to help determine what the pages is about. Also some people turn off their images so that they can serf the web faster. If you rely only on images to make a point you could be loosing some traffic.
Tip #3 Remove image links.
Some WordPress Themes, including the default theme, automatically places an anchor text link in all images. If you don’t select the “none” button you will be including a link on your images that lead to the same image displayed on a page by itself. This can be confusing to some website visitors and can distract them from reading your website content.
